MGT6194   Leading Change   (10 credits)

Description

This unit will provide an understanding of different approaches to leadership in organisations including transformational, authentic, and transactional leadership. Leadership will be investigated at different levels of the organisation ranging from leading small teams to shaping the direction of organisations. It will also present multiple views of how change is enacted in manufacturing organisations and how individual leadership styles affects the impact of these.Participants will explore their own leadership styles and will have an opportunity to develop their leadership skills through feedback, reflection, and practice. The unit will emphasise the link between effective leadership and performance and the individual, team, and organisational level.
